Greenpeace is a global, independent campaigning organization that uses peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems and promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future. The Guide to Greener Electronics is an analysis of what 17 of the world’s leading consumer electronics companies are doing to address their environmental impacts. Here’s how the companies stack up.
For the 19th edition of the Guide to Greener Electronics, a new “web first” approach was taken to publish the report. First, the digital design of the report was adapted to an interactive pdf format. A secondary document outlining each of the 17 company’s environmental score card was also developed. Throughout both publications, an emphasis was placed on maximizing user experience by maintaining simplicity, readability and organization. The final result was published on October 17, 2017 and received widespread attention from Korea, France and Italy, to The Washington Post, New York Times and actor Mark Ruffalo!
